Misery – 1990

I realize that I haven’t talked much about Misery, and that itself is almost as terrible a crime than having never seen the film. For those that don’t know about the sheer rad sauce that is Misery, it’s a Stephen King adaptation. Paul Sheldon is a successful novelist, popular for a series based on a character named Misery. His biggest fan is a woman named Annie Wilkes. She also happens to be psychotic. So, when Paul happens to have a gnarly car wreck, and becomes at the mercy of this woman, well, you honestly get one of the scariest films I’ve ever seen. It’s brilliant on so many levels, and is King’s best adaptation in my opinion. If you haven’t seen it, you won’t want to see it, you NEED to see it. NEED, motherfucker.
