Day of the Dead – 1985
While Day of the Dead certainly isn’t Romero’s best zombie film, due to it’s slow pace and lack of zombies, it certainly is his best when it comes to effects. At least for me, this is the pinnacle of the zombie make-up. They look so fucked up & gnarly, and all the death scenes are about as gory as you can get. Today we take a look at one of the greatest deaths in horror history, as Super Awesome Bad-Ass To The Stars, Captain Rhodes, meets his demise, and still, STILL manages to be a defiant ass-kicker all the way to the end. Choke on it, motherfuckers.
